Adjustment Bureau Movie Reviews

This was an enjoyable movie. My wife does not care for sci-fi fantasy. But, she enjoyed this one.
George Nolfi based this movie on a book by the same name. Authored by Phillip K. d***, it resulted from d***'s experience with an entity he alternately called "Zebra", "Valon" and "god".
To me, the Chairman is obviously Satan. Just look at his nature: He alters the original plan. Who does that in the world? Satan does. The original plan was eternal life in the Garden of Eden. That was altered by the devil.
"Some call us that," Mitchell answers when David Norris asks him if they (Adjustment Bureau agents) are angels. Truth is, they are fallen angels. Further, the agent Thompson lies to David.
Just know what it is about before you go. Consider the actions of the agents, and what they promise, and what they want to NOT happen. Ask yourself, Is the Chairman God or Satan? Should be easy.
Enjoy the film. Definitely worth a watch if you like movies.
This was an entertaining movie with a profound message.
Wow, who could have known? I thought the preview sucked but had a hunch that the movie might be worth seeing. I loved it. It was the prefect mix of action, story and an awesome lesson at the end. Plus the actors had great chemistry. If you liked the Matrix, The Buck List or Inception, you'll like this movie a lot =)
What a crazy movie. This movie delves deeply into the theories behind fate vs. choice. How do we know if what we are choosing is because of ourselves or because it is predetermined. I digress. This movie was great. It stars Matt Damon and Emily Blundt, two amazing actors. Both of them did a great job. This movie was really fast paced and had a great story. The action was really good and it had a very cool science fiction feel to it. The visuals were just as cool as well. Damon and Blundt had some serious chemistry in this movie. The one weird part was the music, which I just didn’t get. I just felt like the music could have been a little different to better go with the themes of the film, but that is such a small complaint because the movie was still great. Another win for Matt Damon.
The Adjustment Bureau is the latest action/thriller movie starring Matt Damon. Matt Damon is one of my favorite actors and his costar in the film, Emily Blunt, is also a favorite of mine. The writer of this film has some pretty big science fiction powerhouses under his belt, including Blade Runner and Total Recall, two classic science fiction movies. There are some pretty big plot holes in the movie but at the same time the story was great. It kept me guessing and the theory behind the film was very interesting. The film really made me think about fate vs. choice. Matt Damon did a great acting job in this movie, but that isn’t very surprising because he is a great actor overall. Him and Blundt had very obvious great chemistry, I was very impressed. The movie was fast-paced and there wasn’t really a time I wished it would speed up. Great movie.
I enjoyed watching this film and even though the script had couple of loopholes in it, I still found it entertaining and interesting. The film is a mesh of drama, sci-fi thriller, romance and action and all it all fits perfectly together. I thought the film was also mysterious and I really wanted to find out what exactly is the Adjustment Bureau, unfortunately the film does not answer that question. The film is also amazing visually and I loved how the director used New York locations to shoot the scenes. The chase scenes in the film are very intense and entertaining, particulary the chase scene by the end of the film. The acting in the film is wonderful and Matt Damon and Emily Blunt make a perfect duo.
I think this film was absolutely wonderful and it owes a lot to Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. I have always admired both of these actors and one can not deny their talent, especially after seeing his film. Damon and blunt have such a perfect chemistry in this movie and i truly believed that these two fell in love from the first sight. I do not think many actors can make that believable but Matt Damon and Emily Blunt knocked it out of the park. The film was very interesting and entertaining and had very unique ideas. Overall, i highly recommend seeing this film in the theaters because it is fun, interesting and it has a perfect cast.
A mixture of sci-fi, thriller and romance, The Adjustment Bureau is an entertaining movie that shows what happens when we decide to change our pre-determined path and create our own destiny. George Nolfi's film reminded me of a more minor Inception. While that film was built on a grand scale, The Adjustment Bureau takes a much more character oriented path.
Matt Damon is, as usual, excellent as David, a promising US Senate candidate whose career is derailed. He meets Emily Blunt's Elise, and the sparks fly. But David was never supposed to meet her, and the eponymous mystery men in the fedoras are going to keep it that way. But David has his own plans.
Nolfi mixes the the intrigue and romance very well. It helps that Damon and Blunt smolder together. The sparks fly off the screen. The rest of the cast, including Terrance Stamp, Anthony Mackie, and Mad Men's John Slattery, are excellent as the bureau. It's a mix that easily could have gotten messed up, but here, it works incredibly well and makes for an incredibly entertaining time.
I really liked this film and I will most likely see it again. The film had a very lovely romantic story and I usually do not like romance in the film but I did enjoy this one. Emily Blunt and Matt Damon would look so cute together! They had such a heat between them in the film and their love felt so natural and real that I forgot that I was watching a film. The movie was also a pretty good thriller and had great action scenes. The director did not overwhelm the film with special effects and I really liked that. Overall, I think it is a superb movie that will appeal to women and men because it has action and romance and it is perfectly balanced.
I absolutely loved this film and I highly recommend seeing it in the theater. It was one of the best love stories since “Notebook” and I did not expect that this film will have such a beautiful story. I was rooting for the main characters throughout the whole film and I truly was worried for them. The dialogue was excellent and the director shot the scene where the two characters meet for the first time perfectly. Emily Blunt and Matt Damon had a perfect chemistry and I was so impressed (yet again) by these two actors. The film feels fresh and imaginative, it is also full of action and I was very much entertained. The film deals with fate, courage and many other important themes and I kept on talking about this film with my friend the whole way back home.
