Blood, chopped off heads and more blood, that is how I can describe this film. If you like that kind of movies, the ones that have no substance but a lot of blood, this is a film for you. I hated this film with passion and I am really angry that I spent my hard-earned money on this film. The film is a mess and it is pretty pointless when you think about it. The film is extra gory and some scenes are just plain ridiculous and disgusting, I spent most of my time with my eyes closed. I think that the director focused mainly on the gore and forgot that the film has to have a plot and a context.
I am so sick of movies that have no real story and no purpose except to show the audience the most amount of blood and gore. this was definitely one of those film that are all about killing, about human cruelty and mindlessness. i do not understand what Paul Giamatti was doing in this film, it is so beneath him and I hope I will never see him in anything like this. The production value of the film is poor, there is no real plot and the characters are there just to be cut in pieces or cut other characters in pieces. I wish i did not see this film and i bet i would have slept much better if i didn’t see it.
I do not like films like that, it was way too gory and bloody for my taste, but if you are a fan of that, you might just like this movie. This film’s main focus is to shed as much blood as possible and to kill as many people as possible in the most horrible way possible. i basically spent most of the film with my eyes shut tightly. i can give you an example, in one of the scenes the knight cuts off an enemy’s arm and uses that arm to beat another enemy to death. This film was way too much for me and i literally had nightmares after seeing it. I did not care for any of the characters in the film because the film does not really focus on the characters, it focuses on blood and gore. Overall, i did not like this film and i do not recommend seeing it in the theaters.
This is a film directed by Jonathan English and starring Paul Giamatti, Jason Flemyng and Brian Cox. The film is very gory and bloody and I do not enjoy films like that, therefore I do not recommend seeing it in the theaters. The film mixes historical facts and speculation and the storyline is not bad, actually even interesting but I could not get over how violent the film is. The film is also well acted and Paul Giamatti is superb as King John. I do have to say that the production value of the film is not the best ad some of the scenes looked pretty bad. Overall, if you like historical action films that are full of blood and violence, you might like this movie.
