This is not a romantic COMEDY. Don't go expecting to laugh or leave with an amused warm fuzzy. It not happen.
Oh yeah...nudity, drug use, disturbing issues, alcoholism.

This film came off very slow, it seemed to try and follow the 2 characters lives over 18 years who could not seem to stay away from each other. However, in my humble opinion it came off unrealistic, rushed and rather boring. The actors performances were not up to par many times as stated in other reviews, Ann Hathaway's accent was laughable, I was honestly expecting from the title and description to see something with better developed relationships, stories and more along the lines of the notebook, which this falls ridiculously short of. My friends and I walked out of the theater wishing we had seen the alien invasion movie instead. If you are looking for romantic comedy, or romance period, look somewhere else as this is not worth a redbox rental, much less a movie ticket.

This is a very good movie with an adult theme. Well done in every way
Add a star if you are a woman. But its so well done and has such depth that anyone can enjoy it.

This is a romantic film about two people who can not be apart, the film is directed by Lone Scherfig and stars Anne Hathaway, Jim Sturgess and Patricia Clarkson. I thought this film will be different and in the same level as “The Notebook” , unfortunately it is not even close. The film falls short and feels faked and unrealistic. I absolutely adore Anne Hathaway, I think that she is very talented and beautiful and she was alright in this film, not great though. Her accent was kind of uneven and that really annoyed me throughout the film. I really liked Jim Sturgess and I hope to see more of him in the future. Overall, I do not recommend seeing this film in the theaters.

A gimmick in search of a movie, One Day is supposed to be romantic, but just comes off as depressing. The film follows Anne Hathaway's Emma and Jim Sturgess' Dexter over 18 years, as they go from just friends to not just friends. It's like When Harry Met Sally, but with a twist: We catch up with them on the same day every year. Oh, and it's not funny, or romantic really. Emma has no self esteem, and while she throws out cute quips about how sad her life is, who wants to spend 18 years dealing with that, let alone an hour and 45 minutes. It's also hard to watch a movie that takes place in England where the main character has a hard time keeping an accent going. Anne Hathaway is a very good actress, but she might want to stick with American characters from now on.

I think this film felt a bit short and i am sad to say that because I was looking forward seeing this movie. The film felt rushed and the performances were affected by that. I think Anne Hathaway is a great actress but in this film her performance was uneven and her British accent was pretty terrible, I am really sad to say that. Jim Sturgess on the other hand nailed his role and I was really impressed by his powerful performance. I did not like the parts where Hathaway and Sturgess play younger or older than they are, they both seem very aware of that and the performances are affected.

This is a romantic film directed by Lone Scherfig and starring Anne Hathaway, Jim Sturgess and Patricia Clarkson. I absolutely love Anne Hathaway and i see pretty much anything that she is in. This film was not the best and it did feel a bit rushed but it was alright. I think that the characters could have used more time to develop and really be interesting and involving, the film could have been a bit longer and it would have been perfect. I have to say that Hathaway’s accent was a bit uneven and distracting, she is a great actress but i do not think that she can do a good accent, i do not understand why they did not cast a British actress.
